Marathon Des Sables Across the Sahara Desert
Marathon Des Sables is a grueling 6 day / 151 mile (243km)
endurance race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco, normally taking
place at the end of March or beginning of April. The distance covered is
equivalent to five-and-a-half marathons, but it is run in several
stages. One thousand athletes from 43 countries aged 16 to 73 years came
to took part in this year’s competition.
